How do we keep our bones and our muscles healthy?
There are few things we an do to keep our bones and our muscles healthy.
Firstly, eating healthily is important. Take your minds back to Autumn term when we learnt about how different food groups help our bodies in different ways. Take a look at the information below to remind yourself. What types of foods keep our bones strong and healthy? What types of foods keep our muscles strong and healthy?
Secondly, exercise is important. Have a look at this website to find out a little bit more about muscles and what exercising does for our muscles.
Task 1 - Create a poster or a leaflet
How can you get the message across to more people about how to look after their body?
Create a poster or a leaflet to explain what people could be doing to make sure they have healthy bones and muscles.
Task 2 - Design a weekly exercise timetable
Think about Joe Wicks' P.E. lessons, our school P.E. lessons, sports that you might play and any exercise your family might do.
Create a timetable of exercise for a week, detailing what the exercise should be and how long for.
