HISTORY

Week 6 What remains of the Romans in Britain today?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/soldiers-in-roman-britain/z7d9wty

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z8xtsbk  (Roman toilets)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z38w2hv (How did the Romans keep clean?)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z8grkqt  (Roman baths)

Task:

Watch the above clips to find out all about some of the things that show the Romans left their mark on Britain. What else can you find out about their legacy? What surprises you the most?

Imagine you are a Roman engineer and you are pitching your idea to the town council at the time. Draw your designs for inventions and write a short script of what you would say in your pitch.

Then create a short drama sketch with you and a member of the town council in your pitch imagining what they would say in response to your ideas.
