Guide of how to use NCETM resources

A short guide of how the NCETM videos which are now on the class pages can be used to support home learning and how the quizzes supplement this.

Ongoing learning

As well as the weekly learning, which will be saved in the dated folders, please see all links below for ongoing learning. Times tables and time are really useful skills to keep ticking over.

In Mathematics, over the half-term, we have been looking at multiplication and division, leading to short multiplication and short division.  We have been applying the children's multiplication and division skills to solve problems.  Keep on playing the TTRockstars as continued practising has really added to increasing confidence in the last few weeks. Remember the drill...10 minutes practising and 5 minutes answering questions in less than 6 seconds on Soundcheck daily. You are aiming for an increased score or 25/25!  Please, please, please consolidate this learning with doing TTRockstars at home. After multiplication and division, the children will move onto learning about fractions. We will consider - what is a fraction? We will look at fractions greater than one, adding and subtracting fractions and use our skills to workout fractions of quantities. Please find below the web links to TTRockstars, Sumdog (your child has a logon for both) and other links and ideas for keeping entertained.
