School Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.

At Gatcombe Park the School Council is made up of a boy and girl from Years One to Six and the classes vote for their representative for the year at the beginning of the Autumn term.

The Current School Council see their role as:

  • Sharing ideas from their class
  • Ensuring children’s ideas and opinions are heard
  • Helping to make decisions e.g. Which Trim Trail extension to choose
  • Organising fund raising for charity
  • Helping to organise the Talent Show
  • Giving feedback from their class on curriculum issues
