Teamwork - Respect - Aim High

Summer 1 week 1 20.04.20 - 01.02.20

We can apply our mathematical knowledge into some beanstalk- themed activities.

  • Order 3 (and more) natural objects according to their length. You can use kitchen utensils, sticks and twigs from your garden, crayons, toys, anything! Have fun combining the objects and finding the longest and the shortest ones!

What can you use to measure the objects? Steps, toys, sticks, spoons, hairclips maybe? Ask your grown-ups to show you how to use a tape measure or a ruler. Can you notice different numbers on them? Can you write those numbers?

  • If you find space outside, lie down on the ground and ask someone to draw around you with chalk. Can you measure the outline of your body? What will you use to do that?
