Teamwork - Respect - Aim High
This week we are learning about time.
What time of the day do you wake up? (in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, at night)
Do you know the time you usually wake up?
When do you brush your teeth?
Sequence your day using these pictures or you can draw your own pictures:
What do you do first in the morning? What do you do next? What do you do after that?
What do you do in the morning? What do you do in the afternoon?
What do you do in the evening? What do you do at night?
Have fun sorting out the pictures:
Enjoy finding out more about time watching 'Maddie's do you know? (Clock)
Close your eyes and try to open them after a minute. Ask your adult to measure the time but to not to tell you when the minute has gone. You need to open your eyes when you feel 1 minute has gone. Were you close? Did it feel like a long or short time? What do you think you could do in 1 minute?
How many times do you think you can write your name in a minute?
Have a go and check your predictions. You can use an online timer:
Can you do more or less jumps in a minute than writing your name? How do you know? How many jumps do you think you can do in a minute? Have a go and check your predictions. Probably you have realised that some activities take more time like writing your name than doing a jump.
What can you do in an hour? Could you do more or less things in an hour than in a minute?
Ask an adult when an hour has gone. What did you do during that time? Did it feel like a long or short time?
