PE Intent

At Gatcombe Park Primary school, we aim to develop children as sportspeople who demonstrate these characteristics:

A physical competence and confidence that enables them to excel in a broad range of physical activities.
A stamina that allows them to be physically active for a sustained period of time
A secure understanding of the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle.
A positive sporting attitude rooted in fairness and respect.
A knowledge of how to evaluate their own success and improve their performance
An ability to work individually, as well as collaboratively and competitively with others.
