PSHE Intent

At Gatcombe Park Primary school, we aim to develop children as high-quality citizens who demonstrate these characteristics:

Resilience, self-esteem, risk-management, teamworking and critical thinking in the context of: health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world
Knowledge, skills and attributes they need to manage life’s challenges
Knowledge and understanding of how to lead a safe and healthy lifestyle, whilst still being confident to take and manage risks
A strong sense of moral purpose and respect for others
Confidence in themselves and aspiration to aim high
Understanding how they are developing personally and socially, having confidence to tackle many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of the growing
Knowledge and understanding their rights and responsibilities, and appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society
Playing a positive role in contribution to school life and the wider community
