Welcome to Year 1!

Spring 1:

We have been very busy so far this term!

Here are some highlights of our curriculum this half term:

English: We are reading 'Where the Wild Things Are' and learning about non-chronological reports. We will be creating our own non-chronological report all about a wild thing! We will also be creating stories, imagining we are on our own adventure just like Max!

Maths: We will be exploring numbers between 6 and 10 and using the model '5 and a bit' to help us subitize the numbers.

Science: Materials - Learning about the different types of materials and which are recyclable.

Geography: Homes and the different types of houses in Portsmouth.

DT: Healthy eating and cooking.

Spanish: En la selva (in the jungle).
