Gatcombe Park Primary School

Teamwork - Respect - Aim High

Welcome to Swallow Class!

Mr Thompson, Mrs Barnes and Mrs Valentine

Summer 2

This half term we will be learning about 'The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark' in English. We will be thinking about applying different suffixes in our writing and developing out understanding sentence structure. Within maths we are learning all about measurement, time and statistics. The children will be solving problems in a variety of ways. This term's Science learning will focus on materials and their suitability for different tasks.

Not long till the end of Year 2 now! Keep up the hard work!

Please continue to support your child with reading 1:1 at home each day! This is vital to ensuring that they do not fall behind. Seesaw homework will be sent out each Monday to be completed over the week.

If you need to contact me regarding online learning please email:

Best wishes
